Holiday World Show Schools Art Competition


We are inviting primary schools students from all around the country to enter the Holiday World Show Schools Art Competition and be in with a chance to win Aer Lingus flights for them and their family. This exciting competition will run in advance of and during the Holiday World Show Dublin, taking place 27th-29th January 2017 in the RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin 4.


There are 2 categories for the Art Competition:


Aer Lingus Colouring Competition –  Ages 4-6

Aer Lingus ‘Above the Clouds’ Art Competition – Ages 7-12

Above the clouds is a space known only to those who dare to fly, some in hot air balloons, hang gliders or planes.  We would like students to create a piece of art that celebrates the adventures and excitement taking place up in the sky.

Runners up will receive Aer Lingus goodie bags and all entrants will receive FREE family tickets to the Holiday World Show 2017.

Aer Lingus will be providing entertainment at the Holiday World Show Kids Zone. Drop in for colouring competitions, giveaways, goodie bags and a special exhibition area where you can display your artwork! The FREE Aer Lingus Kids Zone will be inspired by all things travel and is suitable for all ages, abilities, and interests.


Rules of entry

1 To enter, you must be under 12 years of age and have parental permission.

2 You should print the following information (IN BLOCK CAPITALS) on your entry form:

– Name, age, email address and/or telephone number.

– Signature of your parent or guardian.

3 You may enter only one piece of artwork. Entries will only be accepted on the official Aer Lingus Art Competition A4 sheets.

4 The closing date and time for entries to the Aer Lingus Art Competition is 4pm on Sunday 29th January 2017. This date is final, if your entry is received after this time it will not be submitted to the judges.

5 The Judging Panel is responsible for the allocation of awards. The decision of the Judging Panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding that decision.

6 Winners will be notified by 31 January 2017.

7 All entries shall be the property of Aer Lingus and art work cannot be returned.

8 All entries together with the artists’ details (name and age) may be used in publicity campaigns (such as media campaigns).

9 Photographs of the winners together with their names and ages may be used in publicity campaigns where the parents or guardians of the winners have given their consent.

10 All personal information supplied will be used by Aer Lingus solely for the administration and management of the Children’s Art Competition
